Privacy Policy

Effective September 1, 2026 · Attiko LLC

Attiko is an inventory app. It knows what is in your home, and we treat that as the most sensitive data we could hold. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

The short version

What we collect

Items you scan. When you scan an item, the photo is sent to our AI identification service, which returns a name, category, condition estimate, and value range. The resulting record (photo, details, location, value) is stored in your library.

Where it is stored. Your library is stored on your device and, once you create an account, in Attiko's cloud database so it syncs across your devices and survives a lost phone. Our database is hosted by a reputable cloud provider in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, and accessible only to the systems that serve your account. Employees do not browse individual libraries.

Account details. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we store the identifier and email address they provide so we can recognize your account. We do not receive your password.

Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist on attiko.ai, we store your email address to notify you when the beta opens. Form submissions are processed by Netlify, our website host.

Support email. If you write to support@attiko.ai, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.

What we do not collect

How we use what people collect

Understanding what people collect is part of why Attiko exists. It tells us which categories to support better, which valuation sources to invest in, and where the market is moving. To do that, we analyze library data in aggregate, de-identified form: for example, "vinyl scans grew 30% this quarter" or "the median Pokémon collection is 40 cards." We use those insights internally to build a better product, and may publish them at that level.

What this never includes: your name, email, account identifier, photos, item locations, or anything that would let someone reconstruct what is in your home. We do not share or sell individual item records, and we do not use your data to target advertising.

You can opt out of having your library included in aggregate research from within the app once accounts launch. Opting out does not change which features you get.

AI processing

Item identification is performed by a third-party AI provider under terms that prohibit using your photos or the resulting data to train their models. Only the photo you choose to scan is sent, and only for the purpose of identifying that item. Value estimates are ranges with a stated source; we never claim precision we do not have.

When we share your data, and only with your say-so

The only time item-level data leaves Attiko is when you choose to send it somewhere. Today that means three kinds of destinations:

Each of these is a separate action you take, on a specific item or report, with a review step that shows you exactly what will be sent before it goes. Nothing is pushed automatically, and connecting an account does not by itself share anything. What you send is then governed by that service's own privacy policy. Attiko does not take a commission on your sales.

Your rights

If you are in California, the EU, the UK, or another region with a privacy law that grants additional rights, those rights apply and you can exercise them by emailing us.

Children

Attiko is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will update the effective date above and, where we have your email, tell you before the change takes effect.
